The service

Classic cut

A classic cut is the haircut most men ask for when they want to look neat without a lot of fuss. It is a shape that fits your head and your daily routine, so it looks right whether you just stepped out of the shower or you have been moving all day. You want a style that is easy to manage and holds its line as it grows.

We start by looking at how your hair falls and how you part it. We talk about the length you keep on top and how short the sides should go. Then we work through it in sections, cutting the back and sides first before blending into the top. We check the balance from every angle as we go.

No two classic cuts are the same. What you ask for, how thick your hair is, and how much length needs to come off all change the work. A head with a lot of hair or a strong cowlick takes more time to shape properly. That is also what moves the cost, along with any extra detailing you want.

You can call ahead to book a time or just walk in when it suits you. When you sit down, tell us how you usually wear it and how much time you spend on it in the morning. The appointment takes about as long as it takes. Afterwards, a good shape grows out evenly, so you are not fighting it after two weeks.

A classic cut is a haircut that keeps your style clean and easy to manage. We shape it to your head and your routine, so it looks good wet or dry. You walk out with a shape that holds up until your next visit. It is the foundation for everything else we do, from a fade to a beard trim.

Wet or dry

We cut it wet or dry depending on your hair. Cutting dry shows exactly how it falls day to day. Cutting wet gives a cleaner line. We choose what works for your texture.

Grows out evenly

The goal is a shape that grows out evenly. We check the balance from every angle so you are not fighting it after two weeks. It should look good between visits.

Your visit

How it goes

  1. 1

    Talk it through

Tell us how you usually wear it, what you do for work, and how much time you spend on it in the morning. That tells us the right length and shape before we start.

  2. 2

    Shape the sides

We work the back and sides first, setting the length and the line. We blend it so there is no hard edge where the sides meet the top.

  3. 3

    Cut the top

We cut the top to the length you want, working with how your hair falls. We check the balance from every angle as we go.

  4. 4

    Check and finish

We look at the whole shape from the front, back, and sides. We make small adjustments so it sits right and will grow out evenly.

Why here

Classic cut at Master Hair Care Studio

01

Shaped to you

A classic cut is not a template. We shape it to your head, your hairline, and how your hair grows. It fits you, not a picture. That is the difference between a cut and a shape.

02

Easy mornings

We cut it to your routine. Tell us how much time you spend on it in the morning, and we set the length and shape so it works with that. You are not fighting it after two weeks.

03

Honest advice

We tell you what will work with your hair and what will not. If you want something that will not hold up, we say so before we start. You get a cut that looks right and lasts.

Good to know

Questions

How do I book an appointment for a classic cut?

Call us or send a message to pick a time that works for you. We also take walk-ins, so you can just come by and sit down. If you have a preferred time, calling ahead is the surest way to get it.

Do you take walk-ins for a classic cut?

Yes, we do. You can walk in and take a seat. If we are with another client, you may wait a bit. Calling ahead lets us have a chair ready for you at the time you want.

How long does a classic cut take?

It depends on your hair. A straightforward cut with not much to take off is quicker. Thick hair or a lot of length takes longer to shape properly. We take the time to get the balance right, so you leave looking right.

How do I describe the classic cut I want?

Tell us how you usually wear it, what you do for work, and how much time you spend on it in the morning. That tells us the right length and shape. You can also show us a photo or point to a style you like.

How often should I come back for a classic cut?

Most clients come back every three to four weeks to keep the shape fresh. It depends on how fast your hair grows and how neat you like it. When the sides start to feel heavy or the top loses its line, it is time.

What if I do not like the cut when it is done?

Tell us before you leave. We will look at it with you and adjust what we can. We want you to walk out with a shape that works. If something is off, we fix it while you are still in the chair.

The gentleman, Swan, was amazing. His knowledge and understanding of what the customer requests is spot on. He's been cutting hair for 30 plus years and my pictures verify his exceptional expertise. He is now my barber when I'm this area until he retires.
